Mackenzie Mabin

This collection of work consists of six large wood cut table tops. The idea of family is an important and positive aspect in Mackenzie Mabin’s life, the center of her family begins at the dining room table where they gather every night. Each one of the four smaller pieces represent the artist and her three siblings, the two larger ones represent her parents. Each cut comes from the same tree, yet each piece is an individual. They are meant to sit close to one another but separate to show the strong relationship within the family.
