Meet the Artists.

  • Jessie Bodnar

    Jessie Bodnar is a photographer based in Edison, New Jersey with a diverse portfolio of work. Her photography interests and experience include, but are not limited to, portraits, product, concert photography, and editorial work. In her portrait series, Shades of Speech, Bodnar explores the impact of hue and saturation and gives a human face to idioms about color. Her work explores the nuances of language and its visual translation.

    Her professional experience includes working alongside photographer Jessielyn Palumbo, specializing in pageant photography and contributing to projects such as capturing moments for The Real Housewives of New Jersey and the Miss New Jersey Pageant. Additionally, she provided assistance on set for the luxury bedding company, Boll & Branch. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through imagery, she excels in portrait photography.

  • Jenna Clayton

    Jenna Clayton is a multifaceted artist who strives to connect with her generation by finding humor in things that are extremely humorless. She focuses on first person experiences with mental health through mixed media collage and drawing. Clayton fuses personal style with inspiration from Punk aesthetics throughout her work.

    Her professional experience includes two years as TCNJ’s College Union Board (CUB) Executive Graphics Chair where she creates publicity for on-campus events including: concerts, student programming events and TCNJ’s end-of-year carnival, Funival. While creating her own work she oversees four other artists of multiple disciplines.

  • Brighid Keller

    Brighid Keller, a photographer based in Marlton, New Jersey, focuses her lens on the beauty of down-to-earth subjects like nature, landscapes, and architecture, employing documentary techniques to capture their essence authentically. In her latest series, Twinhood, Keller delves into the intricate relationship between twin sisters, exploring themes of reflection, the uncanny, duality, and harmony through precise images set within domestic and museum interiors.

    During her internship, Keller had the opportunity to assist portrait photographer Bridget Horgan Bell, gaining valuable experience in both studio and on-location shoots.

  • Steph Kontiris

    Steph Krontiris is a New Jersey-based multimedia artist, who works with digital and traditional media and often includes unconventional materials in her practice. Krontiris explores the relationship between memory and identity. By blending elements of retro imagery with contemporary techniques, she aims to evoke a sense of longing for a time that may only exist in our collective memories. Through her art, she invites viewers to contemplate how nostalgia and the impact of technology shape our perception and reflection of self and society, while also embracing the beauty and melancholy of fleeting moments in time.

  • Francis Longo

    Francis Longo is a digital artist from Robbinsville, New Jersey. His work aims to documents raw, unfiltered moments of human expression and connection. Nearing his B.F.A at The College of New Jersey, Francis continues to find new ways to express different perspectives to a larger audience. His ongoing project RAGE, explores the chaotic essence of live musical performances, particularly in mosh pits. The intent is to freeze moments where individuals lose themselves in the music, revealing a side of human expression rarely seen. Francis is also interested in live television production and has worked with some of the largest paintball leagues in the world on creating live broadcasts.

  • Emily Mirka

    Emily Mirka is a multimedia artist based in New Jersey. Her work primarily focuses on digital illustration and storytelling. Mirka aims to evoke any sort of emotion from her audience in an attempt to bring people together through artwork. Currently, she is focused on creating pieces that push her to bring her 2-dimensional work with the 3-dimensional.

  • Michaela Moran

    Michaela Moran is a New Jersey-based multimedia artist from Long Valley, who primarily works with printmaking, textiles, and sculpture. She often focuses on themes of childhood and the natural world in her artwork while reflecting on her own experiences in life. It is a goal for Michaela to work as naturally and eco-friendly as possible and that is shown through her material choice. Michaela's work aims to communicate with her audience in a meaningful and engaging manner, having the viewer reflect on their own experiences through her art.

  • Angela Siwarski

    Angela Siwarski is a New Jersey- based mixed media artist specializing in oil painting. She is currently pursuing a B.F.A. in Fine Arts with a minor in Arts Administration at The College of New Jersey. Many of her works embrace experimentation to represent her cultural background in unique ways.

  • Emily Vargas

    Emily Vargas is an emerging artist based in Mercer County New Jersey. She studied Illustration at Mercer County Community College and is currently pursuing a B.F.A. in Studio Art at The College of New Jersey. Emily is skilled in Graphic Design, Illustrations, and Painting. Her work has been exhibited at Mercer County Community College’s Student Art Exhibition, The Philadelphia Flower Show, and The College of New Jersey exhibition "Snapshots!". In 2023, she had a solo exhibition titled "Chromatic Canvas" at TCNJ, featuring 25 paintings. Actively involved in her community, Emily was a member of the Mercer Community College Graphic Design Club, creating posters for events in Mercer County and Philadelphia. Currently, she is interning with the Arts and Communications Dean’s Office at The College of New Jersey, reflecting her dedication to and leadership in the arts.

  • Franchesca Vega

    Franchesca Vega is a visual artist focusing on photography and cinematography. Her art creates a space where identities converge, resonating with the shared human experience amidst nature's marvels. Raised in Colombia, South America, her diverse upbringing is the backdrop for her artistic exploration. Using different mediums like resin, photographs, cyanotype, and mixed media video installations, she captures the beauty in everyday life, prompting reflection on the shared human experience. Influenced by artists like Pipilotti Rist and Es Devlin, her recent projects, Mirage of Existence, Metamorphosis and Eye Contact explore digital surrealism and an immersive environment.
